
PUBLISHED AIRPORT CHARGES

1. DEFINITIONS
| 1.1. | "aircraft" – means an aircraft as defined in section of the Aviation Act of 1962 as amended |
| 1.2. | "airport" – means an airport as defined in section of the Aviation Act of 1962 as amended |
| 1.3. | "ATC" – means Air traffic control services rendered by the ATNS Company under contract to Lanseria. |
| 1.4. | "helicopter" – means an helicopter as defined in regulation1.3 of the Air Navigation Regulations of 1976 as amended |
| 1.5. | Lanseria – means Lanseria International Airport (Pty ) Ltd |
| 1.6. | MTOW – means maximum take-off weight in kilograms certified by the SACAA for the particular aircraft. |
| 1.7. | "owner" – means the registered owner of an aircraft and includes any person who has hired or operates such aircraft or acts as an agent in South Africa for a foreign owned aircraft. |
| 1.8. | "passenger" – means any person on board an aircraft other than the crew who have been assigned to be on duty during a flight. |

2. GENERAL TERMS
| 2.1. | The owner shall be responsible for all aviation-related charges. |
| 2.2. | The owner is responsible for informing Lanseria, in writing, whenever a change of ownership takes place. |
| 2.3. | All payments by the owner shall be made in South African currency, free of any deduction, set-off or bank charges, during office hours at Lanseria registered address. |
| 2.4. | For the purposes of calculating the applicable landing, ATC, instrument approach and parking fees as stipulated in the Schedule of Fees for an aircraft that lands at Lanseria where the airport of departure of that aircraft was within - a) The Republic of South Africa – the flight shall be defined as a Domestic flight; b) Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia or Swaziland – the flight shall be defined as a Regional flight; c) A State or country other than those in a) and b) above – the flight shall be defined as an International flight. |
| 2.5. | For the purposes of calculating the passenger services fees as stipulated in the Schedule of Fees for an aircraft that departs from Lanseria where the passengers will disembark at an airport within - a) The Republic of South Africa – the flight shall be defined as a Domestic flight; b) Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia or Swaziland – the flight shall be defined as a Regional flight; c) A State or country other than those in a) and b) above – the flight shall be defined as an International flight. |
3. LANDING FEES
| 3.1. | Landing fees shall be payable in respect of every landing at Lanseria.. |
| 3.2. | Exemption from payment of landing fees shall be granted in respect of an aircraft used for the purposes of pilot training, provided that such aircraft is attached to a bona fide flight school at LANSERIA and has as such registered as a training school with the SACAA. Lanseria needs to be notified in writing and formal approval must be granted in advance. |
| 3.3. | Landing fees will be based on the certified MTOW. |
| 3.4. | Block landing fees will be charged at 15 landings per month, this will enable an unlimited number of landings per aircraft. These charges shall be granted provided the following is adhered to: a) A deposit account is opened. The deposit payable would be determined on the MTOW of the aircraft. b) A deposit is paid upon opening of the account. c) Advanced notice in writing of 30 days is required should there be any amendments. |
| 3.5. | Block landings will be charged in advance and must be paid in advance. However, should the block landings not be paid this service will be cancelled and normal tariffs will be charged. |
| 3.6. | All helicopter landing fees will be charged at 50% of appropriate landing charge as set out in the Schedule of Fees, for an aircraft of equal MTOW. |
4. ATC FEES
| 4.1. | Training flights will be charged at 20% of the applicable fee as set out in the Schedule of Fees. |
| 4.2. | All helicopters will be charged at 100% of the applicable fee as set out in the Schedule of Fees. |
5. INSTRUMENTFEES
| 5.1. | Instrument fees are payable for the use of Lanseria's facilities for instrument approaches (NDB, VOR/DME, ILS and others) and when ATC staff services are provided and where a landing does not take place. |
6. AIRCRAFT PARKING FEES
| 6.1. | Parking fees are calculated for any 24 (twenty-four) hour period or part thereof. |
| 6.2. | Parking fees are payable for any aircraft parked on the airport between the hours of 22h00 and 06h00 the following day (excluding the main aprons – Alpha, Bravo and Charlie), irrespective of the purpose of such parking. |
| 6.3. | Any aircraft parked on the Alpha, Bravo and Charlie apron areas will be charged at three times the normal parking tariff after the aircraft has been parked for a period exceeding 2 hours, unless prior arrangements, and confirmed in writing, have been made with the Apron office. |
| 6.4. | Block parking can be arranged with Lanseria management. The fee is calculated on 15 parkings per month, this will enable an unlimited number of parkings per aircraft. These charges shall be granted provided the following is adhered to: a) A deposit account is opened. The deposit payable would be determined on the mass of the aircraft. b) A deposit is paid upon opening of the account. c) Advanced notice in writing of 30 days is required should there be any amendments. d) Block parking will be charged in advance and must be paid in advance. However, should the block parking not be paid this service will be cancelled and normal tariffs will be charged. |
| 6.5. | In certain areas of Lanseria where parking of an aircraft may cause traffic congestion, Lanseria reserves the right to charge up to three times the normal parking tariff. |
7. PASSENGER SERVICE FEES
| 7.1. | A passenger and security levy shall be paid in respect of every person (excluding pilot) of an aircraft on all departing flights from Lanseria. |
| 7.2. | In cases where multiple pilots are required the Lanseria accounts department needs to be informed in writing in advance of a flight. |
8. DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS
| 8.1. | Deposit accounts are compulsory for block landing and parking fees. |
| 8.2. | A deposit account can be opened with Lanseria after completing an application form, which is available from Airport Management. |
| 8.3. | The deposit payable will be determined according to the registered mass of the aircraft. |
| 8.4. | The deposit account is fully refundable upon written request from the account holder when the account is closed. |
9. ADMINISTRATION FEES
| 9.1. | Administration fees are payable by all account holders where no deposit are held by Lanseria. |
| 9.2. | These charges are applicable for each landing on the monthly statement. |
| 9.3. | This charge is not applicable if the account is settled in cash at the Information desk in the terminal building before departure or upon arrival. |
