Safety & Security at Lanseria International Airport

Hand Luggage Guidelines
Hand Luggage Guidelines vary from airline to airline, but below you will find an outline on recommended hand luggage protocols. Be sure to check in with your airline, however, if you have any queries regarding the matter.
Security Regulations
Stringent security measures are in place with particular emphasis on access to all airside gates. No temporary permits will be issued at the terminal building and access to the apron area will be strictly controlled. Only valid accredited permit holders will have access to the apron.
Contractors Safety Compliance
Permission to Work Grant Application (PTW)
With the advent of the Safety Management System, (SMS), and particularly the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993, the airport is obliged to ensure all areas are safe and legislatively compliant. It is for this reason we have developed certain requirements and information requests that need to be met.
Training
Airside Induction Course & Aviation Security Awareness Course
Lanseria International Airport is pleased to announce the introduction of 2 compulsory courses which will be presented by the Lanseria International Airport Training Department.
